THE body of former National Assembly Mr Samwel Sitta arrived at Bunge today to enable members of parliament to pay their last respects.
The body of Sitta arrived in Dodoma airport today noon from Dar es Salaam where top government official paid their last respects at Karimjee Grounds.
MPs and other top government officials will bid their farewell to long serving MP for Urambo inside the debating chamber. This is the first time in history for MPs to bid farewell to a former speaker inside the debating chamber.
This was because Mr Sitta died while Bunge is in session. The first speaker Chief Adam Sapi Mkwawa died when the parliament was not in session.
