Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and Deputy President William Ruto
Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Tuesday warned Deputy President William Ruto against discussing graft matters in public.
Addressing locals during a baraza in Mombasa, Joho stated that Ruto should not speak about corruption in public yet Jubilee had failed to tackle the issue.
Joho claimed that Ruto was involved in the vice citing an example of the alleged grabbing of the Lang'ata Primary School playground.
“I have no hatred at all, but public property must be protected. They have spoilt our money without mercy.
“The government needs to show commitment by leading war on graft that will not protect anybody accused of perpetrating the vice,” Joho stated.
The Governor also claimed that the Jubilee administration had embezzled national funds at the expense of delivering services to Kenyans.
Joho went ahead to cite the recent scandal that hit the Ministry of Health where speculations are rife that about Sh3.2 Billion had been mismanaged by officials in the department.
The DP has in the recent past been accused of land grabbing, allegations that Ruto has vehemently denied stating that he acquired all his property legally.
