Residents of Kogello village in Siaya County on Tuesday morning participated in a mock election imitating the much-anticipated presidential poll in the United States (US).
The villagers both young and old trickled into an open polling station where they lined up to vote for their preferred candidate between Republican's Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton.
In the well-organised polls, two ballot boxes - for Clinton and Trump - were placed on a table with each branded with posters to indicate which candidate they belonged to.
Behind each ballot box were agents belonging to the two contestants who used their manipulating power to woo the excited voters to back their candidates.
As if that was not enough, the ballot boxes were guarded by well-built men as they ensured the electorates cast their votes in peace.
After conclusion of the polls, the votes were counted amid heavy security where Clinton emerged the winner with 78 percent votes against Trump's 22 percent.
In 2012, Kogello residents held a similar poll, but back then the mock election was not hyped since they were all voting for Barack Obama – a son of the land.
US voters are set to go to the polls on Tuesday as they seek to vote for their 45th Head of State to replace incumbent Obama who has been supporting Mrs Clinton.
